BeerInBaltimore.com is run by Brad Klipner – a passionate beer geek who resides in Baltimore, Maryland.

We have a few goals here:

  • To evangelize the greatness that is craft beer and hopefully turn more people onto craft beer through our posts (both here and via Twitter) and/or when talking with us in person
  • To find the establishments in & around Baltimore which do respect beer and offer more than just bland carbonated water from the “big beer” companies.  We want choice!
  • Update you on news in the beer world.  Whether it’s new beers/breweries making their way into MD or just general beer geek news that we think you’ll enjoy reading – we’ll make sure to keep you updated.

  • Report on events and happenings around town, as they relate to good beer.
  • Use Social Media like Twitter on a “live, 24/7″ basis to interact with beer fans from Baltimore and all over the world.

All in all, we are dedicated to the celebration and general thoughts of the beer scene in and around Baltimore.  But most importantly – raising awareness of good beer (including good, local beer!)

And to mix it up a bit, we’ll even have some of our non-beer geeky friends drop by to provide updates on the more social aspects of beer in Baltimore.

Not only will we discuss our thoughts on local beer bars and events, we will also be informing you of news and updates as they’re happening.   Just found out The ____ Bar in Fell’s Point got a cask of ____ ?!  Score!  Tweet us (@beerinbaltimore)  and we’ll report it as soon as it happens.  You’ll hear it here (and here) first.  And our favorite updates – upcoming beer events at actual good beer bars (as well as recaps and pics.)

You get the idea.

This will be a community effort and we’re very excited about it.

Hell, we may even throw in a beer tasting review every now and then to make things interesting.  Something like a “Beer of the Week” article.
