The 24 greatest cities in the world for drinking beer

As a proud Baltimorean, this is pretty darn cool.

This article, published last week – lists the 24 Greatest Cities in the World for Drinking Beer.  Guess which great city is on that list? And we couldn’t agree more..

Baltimore, Maryland, USA
Every city on this list celebrates its beers. To that end, Baltimore hosts Baltimore Beer Week, which, appropriately, is a ten day celebration. The city proper boasts several breweries, and the bars in town pride themselves on the variety of craft beers on tap. Just remember that when the bartender calls you “Hon,” it’s not flirting – it’s just the city’s trademark hospitality.

____

Not on the list?  Philadelphia. New York City. Washington D.C. Chicago.

We’ll take it!

I’ll take praise where we can get it, but……. this is an incompetently-assembled list. Asheville, Atlanta, and Madison–KEY WEST, fer chrissake–and no London or Prague or Plsen? >:-p

To be fair, Asheville is a wonderful beer city.

Agree with the list or not, there are about 100 comments already on the post. The publicity here for Baltimore can’t hurt.

While, I’ll take the free publicity for Baltimore’s beer bars, I just wish the whole “hun” moniker could be forgotten. Only one tiny neighborhood even uses that word anymore.

And honestly, even that “one neighborhood” now hates that word and the “Fest” surrounding it.

Not sure which is more absurd about this list… the fact that Philly isn’t on it, or the fact that Key West is. Either way, it’s kind of hard to take it very seriously.
