Must be a near-impossible task to name only 3 beers per category.

    Right off the bat I do not like the list. Best Dark Ale? How can you take 3 different styles, and place them in the same category? I like the beers on the list, which I have had, but the initial group was a turn off for me. But then again, maybe it is just me being picky

    Agreed Jason. Not keen on lumping together numerous styles and slapping a label on it.

    Sandy – actually, it Sam Calagione’s (Dogfish Head founder) wife who brought the article to our attention today. Mainly because their excellent “Squall” IPA made the list.

    The list = controversial. Controversy leads to discussion. Discussion = good for business ;)

    And let’s not forget, the average Joe is getting his/her information from publications like this and can be easily swayed.
